Michael J.
Volovsek, 49, Marshfield, died on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2001,
at St. Joseph's Hospital emergency Room, Marshfield, as the result
of an auto accident. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., on
Monday, Dec. 3, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Marshfield. The
Rev. Anthony J. Wolf officiated. Music was provided by Suzanne
Golden, organist, and vocalists, John F. Binder and James W. Eckes.
Pallbearers were Dave Carlson, Chad Shaw, Galen Wiersig, Dan
Lindner, Scott Lindner, and Jeff Timmler.
Michael Joseph Volovsek was born on Nov. 20, 1952, in Marshfield,
to William and Bernice (nee Schnitzler) Volovsek. He grew up in the
Willard area and attended Greenwood schools, graduated from
Greenwood High School in 1970. He married Rosemary J. Weyer on
Sept. 22, 1973, in Loyal. He was employed at Don's Standard Service
Station, Marshfield, for many years and then became employed at
Wheeler Chevrolet, Marshfield, until the present time. He was an
avid 4-wheeler and was involved in the 4-wheeler club. He also made
furniture crafts. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his
family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Rosemary two sons, Jay Volovsek,
Milwaukee , and Nicholas Volovsek, Menomonie his parents, William
and Bernice Volovsek, Willard and three sisters, Diane (Earl)
George, Marshfield, Nancy (Don) Garner, Freedom, and Shari (Duane)
Hahn, Elkhorn.
Rembs/Kundinger Funeral Home, Marshfield, assisted the family with
arrangements.
